Wesley was born in Glendale, California, to a Italian-born mother, Maria, and a Croatian-born father, Zeljko. He has dual citizenship, USA and Croatia. He started Martial Arts(Taekwondo) at the age of 9 and achieved his Black Belt by the age of 17. Wesley began his acting training in 2002 and over the years has made great achievements. Wesley Jenkins is a Writer and Director and DP from Decatur, Ga by way of Philly. He's filmmaker, film lover, and film lifer. Wesley is a fresh face but not a newcomer to the media arts. He has produced, written, and directed several acclaimed student films, music videos, and promotional videos as well as being an associate editor on a feature documentary. While Wesley already has a lengthy resume to date, he wants to be known for more than only credits on paper. He wants to be known as a storyteller whose movies are a shared experience of emotions between character and audience while visually satisfying the eye and phonically stimulating the ear. Wesley studied Digital Filmmaking at American Intercontinental University and Screenwriting at EmoryUniversity. Under the tutelage of writer Michael Lucker (Vampire in Brooklyn, Mulan II) and Christopher Teague (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Wildfire) Wesley studied both writing for the screen and television. He continues to hone his proficiency in the craft of screenwriting and directing.
Born and raised in The Philippines to missionary parents, Wesley has been acting and singing since age 7. He left the island country, on his own, at age 16 to study Art/English thru a scholarship from Spring Arbor University in the State of Michigan. While on a week-long trip to New York City as a senior Art student, he saw 'Les Miserables' on Broadway, an experience that set him on a course to acting professionalism. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Los Angeles and was accepted into The American Academy of Dramatic Arts where he graduated with honors.

He first became interested in show business when his cousin Crystal brought him along on her acting auditions. At age nine, he asked his cousin to let him audition, and within six months got his first role, a small part in the television series "21 Jump Street." When he's away from the set, Wesley enjoys basketball, volleyball and swimming. He has also performed as a singer, rapper and hip-hop dancer with a group he formed with his friends.

Wesley James Jack Kimmel (aka Wesley James) was born in Los Angeles, California. His father is writer/director, Jonathan Kimmel and his mother; writer, teacher, and former commercial and music video producer, Carly Hirsch Kimmel. He is the nephew of late night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel. A natural on set even before he could walk, Wesley made his first foray into acting as "The Baby Bachelor," a "Bachelor" spoof that originally ran for six episodes as a bit on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2013. In 2017 Wesley was cast to play young Barry (Bill Hader's title character) on the hit HBO show, "Barry." In 2018 he booked a role in Steven Soderbergh's "The Laundromat" opposite Meryl Streep and a guest star on ABC's "The Rookie." Forthcoming this year is a role in Joey Alley's debut feature film, "The Hater," and a recurring roll opposite Mae Whitman on Season 3 of NBC's "Good Girls." In between playing baseball and ice hockey, Wesley has spent the past few years acting in commercials for brands like Natural Choice, Bank of America, Pedigree Dog Food, Intel, Olympic Paint, Sleep Number Mattress and others as well as modeling in print campaigns for Hasbro, Vans, Bedhead Pajamas, Disney, Crazy 8, Gazillion Bubbles, Tonka Trucks, and more. In addition he continues to hone his craft, training at the Youth Academy of Dramatic Arts, and performing in shows like The Wizard of Oz (as the Scarecrow), CATS, (as Munkastrap), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (as Charlie), Beauty and The Beast (as Lumineer), Aladdin (as the Genie), and Frozen (as Hans).
