Tim Holmes was born in Lansing, Michigan. He grew up working in his family's flower shop. At age 18, immediately after graduating from high school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. He was signed to MCA Records as a solo artist, T.C. Holmes. He parlayed his music contacts into an acting career, appearing in afternoon Soap Operas, B films and various other TV pilot projects.
