Named after his father Ricky Neal Beard, Neal Tanner Beard was born on September 16th 1984 in a Big Spring Hospital just outside his hometown of Snyder, Texas. Is of: Irish, Scottish, Norwegian, English, French, Cherokee, Caddo and Choctaw Indian descent mostly from his mother Janice's side. Tanner Beard is a film and television actor as well as CEO of Silver Sail Entertainment and Mammoth Film Festival. SSE was created during the industry strike of 2008 with a concentration on cultivating professional media content without sacrificing the integrity and artistic vision of the content creators themselves. Tanner has since produced various projects including: a travel show, award winning short films, award winning documentaries, commercials, music videos and multiple seasons of a web-based television series. His feature film producer credits include: critically acclaimed 'Hellion" starring Aaron Paul and Juliette Lewis, and 'Legend of Hell's Gate,' which he also wrote, directed and starred in alongside Eric Balfour, Henry Thomas, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Summer Glau, Kevin Alejandro and Lou Taylor Pucci. Mammoth Film Festival was name by the press as "the biggest first year film festival ever created" in 2018. In early 2015, Tanner Beard entered into a four film partnership with iconic Oscar Nominated Director Terrance Malick and producer Sarah Green. These films have courted the talent of actors including Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender and Natalie Portman. The only documentary of the partnership, 'Voyage of Time,' was produced alongside Brad Pitt, who also narrates the film. It recently premiered at the Venice Film Festival and had its North American Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. As a producer, Tanner has had films and documentaries screen in competition at some of the top festivals in the world, including Sundance, Berlin, Telluride, Cannes, SXSW and Toronto. Along with the gritty action drama "Riptide" set to film in April of 2019, his upcoming projects include 'Fridgeport,' which he co-created with Paul Khoury and is producing alongside Liam Hemsworth and Ashley Greene. Tanner has just finished writing his latest passion project; a new Christmas Comedy entitled 'Just Be Claus' as well as a Trilogy Western series - also a graphic novel called 'In the Name of the Gun.' Tanner splits his time between his home in Los Angeles and his native land of Texas. He is a frequent collaborator with cousin Russell Cummings and writing partner Jonathan Meyers. He also has a Black Labrador named Charles Bronson The Dog.
Tanner moved to California in October 2004. He said he wanted to be famous. So, he moved his whole family out here to give it a try. Since then, he has starred in over 4 dozen national commercials, over a dozen TV shows and 3 movies. He says he isn't through yet! When he is not auditioning, he is playing baseball. Baseball is his first love. He has been playing since the age of 3 and can play any in-field position with great talent. He has been on the All-Star team 3 years. His favorite position is catcher.
