Award-winning actor, filmmaker and musician, Tristan Aronovich is considered one of the most talented Brazilian artists of his generation. His latest film projects opened in movie theaters in Brazil and were acquired by Sony Entertainment, Fox Channel, Axn Channel, Box Brazil, Air France, Emirates Airlines and Net Now VOD to name a few. His new project, the dramatic feature film "Alguém Qualquer/Anyone Out There" (in which Aronovich not only played the main character, but also directed, wrote, edited and composed the music for), received numerous international awards and was described as "...a universal master piece..." by Dr. Jose Barriga at Harvard University. Early Career Since 2004, Aronovich has worked as an actor, director, producer, composer, writer and editor in over 50 industry productions including feature films, shorts, documentaries, music videos and others. Among his most notable awards are the "Excellence in Filmmaking Award" (Canada International Film Festival, 2010), "Humanitarian Award" (Sedona Film Festival, 2013), "Curator's Choice Award" (Harvard University, 2012), "Gold Award" (California Film Awards, 2013) and "Best Narrative Feature" (Logan Film Festival, 2013). In 2010, the DVD "Nasi: Vivo Na Cena" directed, shot and edited by Tristan Aronovich, was nominated for a Latin Grammy. Music Career As a musician and composer, Aronovich has performed to audiences in the US, Europe and Brazil in venues such as the prestigious RedCat Theatre in Los Angeles, the MASP Theatre in Sao Paulo just to name a few. Tristan's work as a musician awarded him an invitation to record at legendary Capitol Records in Hollywood. His performances have been described as "...exciting, agile, go-for-broke..." by the San Antonio Express News (USA) and "... Aronovich plays in a way most people can only dream of..." by Frank Koonce (Arizona State University). Academic Tristan was awarded full scholarships from several North-American universities to pursuit his undergraduate studies. His choice was the prestigious California Institute of the Arts (Calarts) where he graduated in 2004. In 2013, Tristan was awarded yet another full-scholarship to attend the Performance Research Seminar at Harvard University. Tristan regularly publishes articles on film, music and acting and his latest bi-lingual book "Making Films/Fazendo Cinema" (published i 2014) is available worldwide and has been the book of choice of several film and acting courses and schools. Tristan is also the founder and director of the Latin American Film Institute. Born and raised in Stuttgart, Germany, Tristan came to Australia in 2010 and completed his Performing Arts degree at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Perth in 2015. Before making Performing Arts a predominant part of his life, he served in the German Air Force and worked in the Australian Mining Industry (Outback Bush Exploration). In the Air Force Tristan was trained in outdoor survival, fire arms and basic tactical combat. He is well experienced in floret and epee fencing having trained and competed in Germany for many years. He is a classically trained in voice and completed a diploma of sound design. This taught him a strong appreciation for the technical side of music and film production. At WAAPA Tristan was trained in voice, movement, acting, theatre making and physical theatre. Clowining based on techniques taught at l'École Internationale de Théâtre Jaques Lecoq and screen acting inspired his interest the most leading to further pursuit. Tristan continues to hone his skills through work with Nicholson Academy for Screen Acting, Perth Film Network, Perth Actors Centre and Filmbites. He is fluent in both German and English and has received accent training by James Hagen. Since completing his degree at WAAPA Tristan has been involved in numerous stage, music, short - and feature film productions. He is passionate about strengthening his craft and discovering new was to play with every new project he pursues.
