Sean Cortese is an up and coming actor in the film and television industry. He was born Fredrick Sean Cortese in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 2, 1987 to Jan Kramer and Terry Cortese. Jan who worked as a transportation broker, and Terry a vice president of transportation. Cortese was raised in Provo, Utah where he attended high school and college. In high school, Cortese was enrolled in the drama program where he found a voice on stage. Known for his quick wit and wild humor he excelled at improvisation, at the behest of his teacher he began auditioning for plays put on at the school. Upon graduation, Cortese began writing for a local newspaper, using his talent for vocabulary he wrote articles covering the Brigham Young University college basketball team. On a chance meeting with a neighbor, Cortese transitioned from the local press to a short lived career in finance. Upon realization that finance was not for him, Cortese's mentor suggested he get back into acting. Cortese began taking acting classes in Salt Lake City and was discovered by filmmaker Rob Diamond who cast him in his first role as Blake, an ex con surviving on a ranch in the small budget film The Last Page. Cortese then played the part of Timothy Carter, a male model obsessed with his own success in the short film That's A Wrap. The film was a view on life behind the scenes of a make believe movie set and the interactions between all members of a production.
Sean Cory Cooper was born in Hartford, Connecticut, the product of an affair between his mother and a married jazz pianist. He got the acting bug early, performing in a community theatre production of "David And Lisa", but he didn't seriously pursue acting until after high school. When he was 12, he, his mom and stepfather moved to South Ozone Park, Queens, NY, where he attended John Adams High School, After graduating, Sean attended Kingsborough Community College briefly before dropping out to pursue acting full time. Sean studied acting at several schools, notably HB Studios, Weist Barron-Hill, and with several private teachers focusing on the meisner technique; But Sean believes that the best way to learn, is to do,so he immediately began working in NY theatre, where he appeared in many off-broadway productions. Sean earned his Equity card while working for "The Floating Hospital", under the TYA(Theatre for young audiences) contract, and joined Actor's Equity in 1993; He joined AFTRA soon after. As much as Sean loved New York, Hollywood beckoned; In 1994, Sean moved to Los Angeles. Since then, he's been quite fortunate. In addition to his many appearances in independent films, Sean is also in the academy-award winning film "Crash", and appeared with Jet Li and DMX in "Cradle 2 The Grave". Sean has also branched out into Voiceover work, doing Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep commercials for years, and many other commercials, both on-camera and VO; He also voiced the role of "David Weston" in the "Terminator: Salvation" video game. On TV, Sean has appeared on "The Practice", "7 Days", and worked on the pilot episode of "The Black Donnellys". Sean does not actually appear in the pilot; he was booked and on-set, but, due to the time constraints of working with child actors, his scene was not shot(but,he was paid and received residuals). Sean Cowhig is an actor, writer, producer, and improviser living in Los Angeles. He's one of the founding members of the comedy group Dr. God, a staple of the LA improv scene. He worked as one of the writers and played Jerry the Janitor in their first feature film, Bloodsucking Bastards. He appeared on several episodes of Dr. God's MOCKpocalypse on AXS TV and is an Executive Producer and a Series Regular on their animated series Hell Den on SYFY. Sean has performed thousands of live shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Providence, Austin, Phoenix, and even across the border in Montreal. In the spring of 2006, Sean landed a job working on an animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie - quite literally, living the dream. His work on TMNT led him to the Walt Disney company a few months later. There, he was hired as an animation editor, cutting pilots for TV development. Since July of 2006, Sean has been an animatic editor, assistant editor, trailer editor, and lead editor working on hit Disney television programs like The Replacements, Phineas & Ferb, Kick Buttowski, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He has also had his hands on nearly a dozen animated pilots, giving him the opportunity to work with some of the best creative directors in the business. In October 2010, Sean began Tronning things up as the lead editor on Disney's upcoming Tron: Uprising animated series, set to premiere in 2012.

Sean was also the title character in the mockumentary comedy feature film "Richard Peter Johnson", a story about the world's most infamous male porn star retiring at the height of his popularity and career to pursue his true passion of acting. Sean penned and produced the film along side other members of his sketch comedy group, Gibbon's Tail. The film co-stars James Franco, Jim Parrack, Thom Barry, Eddie Shin, Devin Crittenden, Anton Narinskiy and Robyn Cohen. The film won 11 awards including Best Actor and Best Picture at the Playhouse West Film Festival 2014. The film will be released on Red Box and Amazon in early 2016. Sean is a passionate award winning actor, an improviser, director, screenwriter and artist born and raised in California. He won the 2014 Playhouse West Film Festival "Audience Choice - Best Actor" for the feature film "Richard Peter Johnson". Since 2009, Sean has improvised in over 1,000 shows on stages across town (UCB, Second City, iO West and Playhouse West Comedy) and the country, with his improv team Gibbon's Tail. They are the only team to ever be invited back consecutive years to Los Angeles Improv Festival. Sean has started an online film course for beginning film makers where he takes them from start to finish on their feature films with the Rebel Filmmaking Community (RFC).
