Scott Elrod was born in Germany to a military family. After moving around a lot he was raised in Parker, Colorado for the most part. His father was an F-16 pilot and Scott had dreams of becoming a pilot himself. He earned his pilot license after graduation and became an air traffic controller. During his high school days Scott excelled at maths and science, also enjoyed baseball and ran track. After graduation Scott ran on a different kind of track, racing motorcycles. He held down many different jobs including pizza delivery and laying runways at Denver International airport. With his looks it wasn't long before he got into modeling. After developing his own marketing company with a friend he eventually became Vice President of Sales for a technology company. Despite his sales successes he wasn't happy. After seeing the movie Top Gun (1986) he realized that his heart was with acting. He relocated to Los Angeles and started an acting class, six days a week. Eventually his performances in small parts in CSI: NY (2004) and Days of Our Lives (1965) brought him to the attention of the casting crew of Men in Trees (2006), in which he played the part of Anne Heche's love interest "Cash". In his spare time Scott still likes to fly and race motorcycles, also cars. He keeps fit with weight training and kick boxing and he hangs out with his best friend "Harley Davidson" - his yellow Labrador.
