Satinder Kassoana, an Indian-Canadian actor and filmmaker, first captured the spotlight with his debut feature film, 'Range Road 290'. This gripping crime drama, where he not only played the villain but also showcased his multifaceted talent as the writer, director, and editor, was officially selected for the prestigious International Film Festival of South Asia Toronto, North America's premier South Asian film fest. This nod of recognition marked a significant milestone in his career, celebrating his narrative and cinematic prowess. Transitioning from a post-graduate research scholarship holder in Computer Engineering to an actor and filmmaker, his credits include: 'Bonjour Ji,' a French short film that explores the prejudices held between different races and communities. The film won the Best Short Film award at five international film festivals, including the International Film Festival of South Asia Toronto in 2015, the Richmond International Film Festival USA in 2016, the Washington DC South Asian Film Festival in 2015, and it received the Best North American Short award at the Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival in 2015. His other writing and directing credits include 'Don't Walk Among the Dead' (2016), a short film set in a post-apocalyptic world. It follows two sisters journeying to a rumored safe haven in the mountains and the violent encounter they face along the way. The film was produced with a grant from Telus and through a successful Kickstarter campaign. From 2009 to 2014, Satinder wrote and directed two TV shows for ethnic TV channels in Canada.

U.S. Army veteran, Satinder Kaur, is a writer and director who has lived a story-filled life. By the time she was twelve, she had lived on three continents and spoke four languages (Hindi, Punjabi, German and English). Her experiences in the east and the west provide her with a global perspective and contribute to her artistic voice which is uniquely American. Her short film Blood and Glory premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2020. It also won the Grand Prize in the Women in Media CAMERAderie Initiative. In 2018, she was invited to shadow director David Geddes on CW Network show DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Learning the ins and outs of television directing was one of the coolest experiences of her life. Kaur is a fellow of the Writers Guild Foundation's Veterans Writing Project. Her short film The Last Killing produced by Ensaaf won the best short documentary award at NewFilmmakers LA and the Amnesty International Best Human Rights Short award. In partnership with Ensaaf, she spearheaded the largest human rights video advocacy efforts in Punjab, India by traveling extensively and interviewing survivors of torture and families impacted by enforced disappearances. Kaur received her MFA in film directing from USC School of Cinematic Arts where she was the recipient of James Bridges Award for excellence in directing. She still can't believe sometimes that she's living in LA actively pursuing her filmmaking goals!

Since then his popularity has seen a constant surge among the Punjabi diaspora with his shows being held in many countries across the world.He is considered as the savior of Gurmukhi language,Punjabi culture ,traditions and folk. Satinder Sartaaj is a rare singer who is highly qualified, having earned a Doctorate. While most folk singers and movie singers in India are not known for their educational qualifications, Sartaaj is one of the younger crop of singers who have gone through the rigors of formal education. He obtained a degree in Music from Government College, Hoshiarpur. Satinder Sartaaj concentrated on his Sufi musical career having done his M. Phil in Sufi music singing and later a Ph.D in Sufi singing (gayan) from Panjab University, Chandigarh.He also taught music at Panjab University. Satinder also completed a Certificate Course and Diploma in Persian language. It was in college, when he also started writing poetry and adopted his Takhallus (poetic name) Sartaaj. He got married on 9 December 2010.
