Born and raised in the tropical island of Sabah, Malaysia. Sarah Te Wong is of Han Chinese (Hakka) descent. She has an academic and background in arts and design. Her journey into the industry unfolded while she was attending church, during her time in university. She was approached by a model scout , naturally gained experiences in print work and fashion runway show. Not too long after, her exposure to the western culture fully transition at age 19. She moved to New York City and got her bachelor's degree in theater arts and interdisciplinary science from The New School. Sarah studied improvisation, sketch comedy, and video production at The Peoples Improv Theater. She also studied acting at The Complete Theatre Company, The Simon Studio, and Acting Without Agony.
