Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia, Sarah loved to perform from an early age, frequently putting on plays with her sister and cousins. After seeing a local production of Annie at age 7, she caught "the bug" and began participating in theater at her school. Her middle school and high school years were occupied by theatre and acting. In her junior year of high school, she was cast as Emily in the play Our Town. It was this life-changing part that made her realize she wanted to pursue a career in acting. She got her first Film and Television agent at age 17 and has been pursuing acting professionally ever since. She has recently graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Psychology. Sarah can be seen in several film and television roles including Fox's Sleepy Hollow and the Investigation Discovery Channel's Your Worst Nightmare.

Sarah Botstein is an award-winning filmmaker who has been producing groundbreaking documentary films about American history, life and culture for more than twenty years. Her work with directors Ken Burns and Lynn Novick is some of the most acclaimed and popular programming on PBS and includes Hemingway (2021), College Behind Bars (2019), The Vietnam War (2017), Prohibition (2011), The War (2007) and Jazz (2001). Currently, Botstein is producing and directing, with Burns and Novick, a groundbreaking film that examines the United States response to the Holocaust and a multi-episode project on Lyndon Johnson's life and presidency. Botstein is also the lead producer on an upcoming, epic five-part series on the American Revolution. In collaboration with PBS Learning Media and WETA-TV, Botstein helps lead the digital and educational initiatives for Florentine Films, collaborates on Ken Burns UNUM, a digital project that connects themes in the past and present, and is an executive producer of a new web series called UNUM Shorts. Botstein is a graduate of Barnard College with a degree in American Studies.
