Sue Zen was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She lives in Los Angeles, California with her husband. She is the youngest of four girls, but has only-child tendencies due to the big age gap between her and her sisters. She is an aunt to 8 nieces and 3 nephews, not to mention she has 29 cousins on just her mother's side. Her mother is a stay at home mom and her dad was the founder of Malaysia's first in-store advertising company. She has a love for languages, although will guiltily admit spending most of her childhood dreading going to Chinese school. She speaks English, Malay, Mandarin Chinese, and is currently learning Japanese. You will always find Jurassic Park and the Mission Impossible movies on heavy rotation in her home. In her spare time, she likes to make her husband uncomfortable by speaking in an exaggerated British accent (mostly probably Harry Potter quotes - has anyone seen a toad?!).
Born just one-and-a-half degrees north of the equator, Sue-Lynn Ansari born of Chinese, Tamil Indian, and Malay descent has been burning the fires of creativity at every chance. At a young age she studied film and television being one of the youngest college entered students of the 90's entering at age 11 then earning a degree at age 15. Aside from her education Sue-Lynn grew up in California competing in Rodeos, Varsity Swimming, 4-H, Musical Theater, Ballet, and Martial Arts. She was raised by hard-working parents. Her mother, a nurse served once in the Singapore Army; her stepfather a 35-year California State Law officer served in the United States Army. In 2001 Sue-Lynn received a call the day after September 11th that would change her military career path forever. What was ingrained as a young child surfaced throughout her professional career affording her opportunities such as level testing and certifying with the Associated board of the Royal Schools of Music to playing country music across the South, and Modeling in Los Angeles. She has always had a deep love and respect for the craft of entertainment in TV/Film and has hailed her heroes of the screen: Steven Spielberg, Robin Williams, Irrfan Khan, Nichelle Nichols, Gene Roddenberry, Patrick Stewart, Denzel Washington, Kenneth Branagh, Danny Boyle, Maureen O'Hara, and the list goes on. The last 5 years Sue-Lynn has had a highly active career in Film and television having worked over 60 productions in the southeast: acting, stunt acting, and production side on occasion. One of Sue-Lynn's greatest achievements was working on midsummer's night of 2013 with Robin Williams on one of his last pictures, Boulevard. Another cherished time was when she was an intern with Roddenberry Productions during the 2008-2009 years. She organized all the Trek scripts, help build their online time-line of all things Star Trek, and frequently sent scripts to JJ Abrams office. She joined the company just one month before Majel Barrett Roddenberry passed who was a significant female figure for her in TV Film history. Sue-Lynn hopes to entertain the world with her stories, craft, and works for years to come.
