Philippa Bateman is the founder of Enigma Machine Pty Ltd a production company that produces drama, comedy and documentary. A writer/director and producer, she was a recipient of the 2019 She-Doc Fellowship (Documentary Australia and Create NSW) which took her to New York, where she was embedded at Alex Gibney's company Jigsaw. On her return to Sydney, Australia in 2020, she directed and produced the critically acclaimed feature film 'Wash My Soul in the River's Flow'- about Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter, a love story. Philippa worked as a production/creative executive and producer on independent feature films in Australia, the US and UK for 20+ years. The past ten years, she has focused primarily on documentary features and television drama but has developed a slate that also includes television drama series and a (family) animated feature film. Prior to Enigma Machine, she was CEO of April Films that started life with a first look deal with Universal Studios, and produced 'Jindabyne', starring Laura Linney and Gabriel Byrne and directed by Ray Lawrence. It was selected for Directors' Fortnight at Cannes 2006 and released by Sony Classics in the US in 2007. April Films won the SPAA Independent Producer of the Year Award in 2006. She was also an Acquisitions Consultant and had a First Look deal with United Artists/MGM 2002-2004. Other producer credits include: 'The Beehive', a non linear experimental documentary starring Pamela Rabe, about the murdered publisher and activist Juanita Nielsen. Directed by Zanny Begg and commissioned by Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) and Artbank, it screened at ACMI July 31- 6 November 2018 and Sydney Festival (2019). She was the Executive Producer of 'Alone Across Australia' (Dir. Ian Darling and Jon Muir).

Philippa Jayne Langley is a producer known for Richard III:The King in the Car Park (4 February 2013), Secrets of the Dead (2000) and Richard III: The Unseen Story (27 February 2013). The forthcoming feature film, The Lost King, written by Steve Coogan and Jeff Pope and directed by Stephen Frears (the team behind Philomena, 2013) is about Langley's search for the lost grave of King Richard III in a parking lot in Leicester in 2012. Langley won the Royal Television Society award for Best History Programme in 2013 for Richard III: The King in the Car Park. The King in the Car Park was also nominated for a BAFTA in 2014 in the category of Television Specialist Factual. The documentary was based on Langley's original Looking For Richard Project (2009).
