Olga Segura is a Mexican producer currently residing in the United States, she has produced over 8 films with projects premiering at the Venice, Berlin and Sundance Film Festivals. Her last film, Waiting for the Barbarians was based on the novel written by Nobel Prize winner J.M. Coetzee, it was directed by Oscar-nominated Ciro Guerra, and premiered at the Venice Film Festival 2019. She is currently producing and co-directing a documentary based on the 3-time Latin Grammy winning singer and composer Carla Morrison. She has attended intensives with RootlessRoot in fighting monkey, Theodore Terzopoulos in Attis International summer master class for theater, with DV8 and Loyd Newson, Hannes Langolf in movement creation based on text research. She has performed in internationally acclaimed festivals and venues of Greece. at Athens and EpidaurusFestival, in Onassis Cultural Center Main Stage, in Kalamata International Dance Festival, in Bienalle Athens, Documenta Athens, National Theatre of Greece - experimental Stage, Athens Video Dance Project - Promenade. Her creations have been selected and presented at festivals in Greece (Akropoditi Dance Festival, Feedback in Progress Kinitiras festival, Reborn in Athens Festival, Greek Choreographers Association festival). As a teacher she is regular movement and contemporary dance teacher and at Patras Municipality Drama School (artistic director Cezaris Grauzinis), and at Duncan Dance and Research Center (artistic director Penelope Iliaskou). She has been teaching contemporary dance and improvisation classes since 2009.
