Jake Francois

Jake Ivano Francois is an Italian/Mauritian actor. He was born Jake Ivano Francois in Palermo, Italy, on September 26, 1995, to Pamela Christine Francois (Fanchon), who worked as a babysitter, and Elvis Patrick Francois, an antique dealer and sailor. Raised in Mauritius, he loss his father at the age of 12 to a lung tumor. He was then introduced to acting and singing with the Group Abaim in Mauritius to stop his depression and sadness. Jake did his first play at the age of 14 where he played the org re in Little thumb. He then started singing professionally with the group. He was discovered by his art teacher who trained him and bring him back to the stage with 1806. In 2014 ,Jake auditioned for a Mauritian production; Tikoulou et le Souffle Magique; being the start of his career. He graduated from High School in 2016. He began working in a call center part time to pay for college fees, Later that year he stopped and apply to acting schools around the world, in late 2017 he was accepted and offered scholarships in prestigious acting schools around the globe, Later that year he was discovered by Director/ Casting Director Jon Rabaud and featured in Serenity starring Mathew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. In November he started Radio and TV. He starred in the Malaysian TV series Kasu mele Kasu in December. The year 2018, Jake played in several south African and German TV series and movies including; Life by the seahorse bay, then joined Erica Ash in the American comedy; Single Holic (2022) In 2019 he starred and did many local commercials, He starred in Nicole Garcia Lovers, where he gets to play and sing in the movie. He was the Thug in the famous award winning Bad Banks TV show in Germany. He also starred in Porgy and Bess in late 2019 He flew all the way to Bangkok for his first international shooting in early 2020. The actor was also directed by Paco Caballero for Amor de Madre (2022). Later that year in December he took part in Moris du rire, first time touching the comedy live stage. Early 2021 he stopped his shows on radio to fully focus on his acting career, He is currently shooting for a South African thriller series in Mauritius. In late 2021 he starred in an American action thriller shooting in Dubai, Russia and Los Angeles.
