Helena O'Connor
Helena is an actress and visual artist & screenwriter based in Dublin. Helena studied acting with Bow Street Academy for Screenacting Dublin, Gaiety School of Acting, and at the Actors Studio in Dublin, with John Cantwell. She received a Bachelor of Arts from National College of Art and Design, Dublin, in Sculpture and performance in 2007, and went on to participate in artist residencies in Italy and North Carolina, and exhibitions and screenings in Australia, USA, China, Ireland and the continent. She worked with Todd Komarnicki at Guy Walks into a Bar Productions in New York, and returned to Ireland to do a masters in screen writing at the National FIlm School @ IADT, Dublin where she began work on her feature screenplay 'Lasso of Truth'. She produced a number of TV shows for German and French television as well as teaching art and film before returning to the boards at the Shelton Theatre in San Francisco in 2014. Helena will appear in The Rubberbandits - The History of Everything, currently in production with RTE, and also Fir Marù agus Grá in production with TnaG.
