Gilbert was a cast member of the 2017 CBS Diversity Comedy Showcase. He has performed with LA's top Asian talent in the Asian AF and Scarlett Johansson Presents shows at UCB Theatre. In Los Angeles, he's studied with Robert D'Avanzo and with the faculty at Lesly Kahn & Company. While in Chicago he trained at The Second City and iO Theatre. He later got a job as an actor of The Second City Works, where he can be seen in countless videos as the ethnically ambiguous employee. He also toured with Stir-Friday Night!, the nation's premier Asian-American comedy troupe, which boasts alumni such as Steven Yeun (AMC's The Walking Dead) and Danny Pudi (NBC's Community & Powerless).
