Theatre credits include 'Julius Caesar' (Calphurnia/Octavius) Bell Shakespeare Co; 'Fun Home' (Joan) Sydney Theatre Co & Melbourne Theatre Co; 'Wherever She Wanders' (Nikki) Griffin Theatre; 'Grounded' (Pilot) Parramatta Riverside Theatre and 'Brown Skin Girl' (which Emily also co-wrote) with Blackbirds for Griffin Theatre Batch Festival. Emily Henney is a triple threat performer originally from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. She grew up as a studio dancer training in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and musical theatre. When she graduated high school, she changed gears and attended the Acting Program at Douglas College and completed two years of acting training at Seacoast Theatre Centre in West Vancouver. All the while, she was continuing to teach dance and musical theatre at Westside Dance Centre in Kitsilano. In 2010 she was accepted into the Acting Program at Studio 58 and that is where her professional acting career really began. Since graduating from Studio 58 in 2012, Emily has been working professionally as an actor, singer, dancer and choreographer. Select theatre credits include: Mamma Mia!, Cornwalls' All-Inclusive Cancun Christmas, Footloose (Chemainus Theatre Festival), Legally Blonde (TUTS). Most recently, Emily has signed on as the Assistant Studio Director and co-founder at Van City Dance Connection where she is really learning how to build a dance studio from the ground-up.
