Ethan Hutchison was born September 7, 2010 on Long Island, NY. His father is a computer engineer and digital animator from New Orleans and his mother is an environmental scientist and documentary filmmaker from the Caribbean island of Dominica. At the age of three he told his parents he was born to be an actor. He showed a true gift for performance and began his work in the theater. At four, Ethan booked his first theatrical audition, a recurring role as Jake Gaines in the Hulu original TV Series, The Path (2016). His second audition at five led him to a series regular role as Blue Bordelon on OWN's original TV series, Queen Sugar. Ethan has gone on to win both the Young Artist Award and Young Entertainer Award for Best Leading Young Actor of his portrayal of Blue Bordelon in Queen Sugar. He was nominated for the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Performance by a Youth for the same role. Queen Sugar has earned a nomination by People's Choice Award for Favorite Cable TV Drama and won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Drama Series. When Ethan isn't acting, he enjoys fencing epee, being a master builder, producing beats, programming apps, building robots and is an avid reader.
