Do Woo was born as the second of three siblings, and spent school days full of warmth and love under the influence of a mother who was well versed in art, a caring father, and two reliable brothers. Later, he joined his first Agency as an actor through a 3,000 to 1 competition in the audition he applied for while attending Hanlim Arts High School. Since his debut in 2014, he has steadily accumulated acting experience through works such as Ilriitneun Sarang (2014) Yeojareul Woolryeo (2015) and Moo-lim-hak-kyo (2016) and made himself known to fans of all ages through U-ri Gap-Soon-i (2016). in 2017, Do Woo enlisted in the military and had a rather long hiatus after being discharged in 2019 because he wanted to understand the language of the actual filming site and various perspectives while acting. He returns to school and devotes himself to directing studies. Later, in an interview with the media, he said, 'I developed a viewpoint through which I can look at the script from various perspectives and analyze the character. I felt that I have become better and fuller when I returned to acting after feeling it from the director's point of view,' revealing his desire to direct. After his hiatus, he joined VAST Entertainment, and his first comeback piece was a drama about boy's love, Unintentional Love Story (2023). In this piece, based on the webtoon of the same name, Do Woo drew attention by outperforming the original character.
