Brad Moore
Brad is a British actor known primarily for his roles in Gloves Off, Golden Years, and North vs South. Born in London as Bradley Heath Moore to his mother, Brenda Moore, who was from Jewish-Italian decent and his father, Ronnie, who he fondly describes as a 'chancer' from the East End of London. Brad grew up in North/East London before moving to Hertfordshire. He attended Chauncy Secondary School, Ware and later Shephallbury Art College, Stevenage. As a young man Brad boxed for Ware Boys Club under Taffy Green. He was introduced to acting as a boy, which he credits to actress and neighbour Pauline Quirk, although he did not pursue a career until he was 40. Brad initially performed for two years on the UK stand-up comedy circuit and during this time secured parts in over twenty low budget short films. This period was his training ground as a performer. Since then Brad has secured roles in many feature films starting with a small role in 'Best Laid Plans' alongside Stephen Graham, a cameo in the BAFTA winning 'The Rise' performing with Timothy Spall, a starring role in 'Montana' alongside Ashley Walters, Lars Mikkelsen, and Michelle Fairley. Brad's first lead role was performing alongside Stephen Berkoff and Bernard Hill as the psychopath Gary Little in North vs South. The performance was well received prompting The Scottish Herald to say "absolutely incredible performance from Brad Moore" Movie Ramblings to say "Moore's performance is a barnstormer, an avatar of pure chaos. Magnetic, chilling, funny and annoying, whenever the unpredictable Moore's onscreen, all you're watching is him." Well respected film critics Hey You Guys commented "Moore's performance perfectly encapsulates everything that is brutal about this piece. It's a stand-out performance, as Gary Little is a nasty piece of work, intimidating, barbaric and yet somewhat pathetic too". Midlands Movies commented "Brad Moore as Gary is a nasty piece of work but a joy to watch as he becomes unhinged". This was followed by short film 'Ruminate' starring with Rebecca Hall (Vicky Christina Barcelona), and as the main antagonist DC Kieth Stringer in cult British comedy 'Golden Years' alongside Simon Callow, Alun Armstrong, Phil Davies, Una Stubbs and Sue Johnston. Brad second lead role was in the boxing comedy Gloves Off (which he co-wrote) and stars alongside Ricky Tomlinson, Alexei Sayle, Paul Barber, and Denise Van Outen. Jarred Bold of The Sun wrote " Similar in style to The Full Monty, the film fuses comedy, romance and pathos and is classic British cinema" The Daily Star wrote " A fine Independent Movie" Britflicks commented " Brad Moore who co wrote the film with Nesbit plays the lead character wonderfully" OC Movies wrote "Gloves Off is a blast to watch, full of humour and perfect timing.Brad Moore obviously injected a lot of heart into the project and despite his important screen presence, Moore never over shadows" Andy Blackshaw from Back to Basics commented "Moore has created one of the most entertaining British films of the last few years and it definitely deserves its place alongside British greats" According to Him wrote " An all star cast and a great performance from Brad Moore.
