Berik is a Kazakh actor and film producer. As an actor he has been named The Best Actor of 2011 for his performance in "The Liquidator" and "Returning to the A", which hit the Oscar's Long List. Born in Kzyl-Orda, Berik raised in Almaty, south capital of Kazakhstan. His father is a police officer and mother is an educator in kindergarten. Berik's career began with performance in the theater. His debut theater role was in William Shakespeare's play "Hamlet", in which he played Laertes the son of Polonius.
