For more than 10 years was involved with D.A.R.E. America and D.E.A. Youth Dance, whose missions are to promote dance as a healthy alternatives to drug abuse and violence. In between gigs, Brandon Michael pursued a love of pastry with workshops and apprenticeships in the United States, New Zealand, Japan, and the South Pacific. As a professional pastry chef, Brandon Michael specialized in bespoke wedding cakes, custom gourmet gifts, and catered dessert receptions. Over time, Brandon Michael's business evolved into a wholesale supplier to New York City cafés.
