Aaron M. Abelto is an American film director and actor. He is best known for writing and directing the Oscar Contender The Power of Movement (2020) which embodies the journey of a radiation oncologist Dr. Mehta healing cancer and mental health through the world of music and dance. The reception of his first drama-based movie I Before Thee (2018) led Aaron into filming in the non-fiction world. Aaron is now following through with Iron Temple (2021) and R.S.P. Documentary (2022) as writer and director. Aaron worked closely with producer Rajesh D. Felix and eventually created Able 2 Film Entertainment (A2F) based in Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale. A2F is a filmmaking production company that creates high-quality micro-budget films. Aaron works closely with writer-producer Sarah E. Felix as well, who has a supportive role with completion of film works. Steven Spielberg is one of Aaron's favorite directors. Aaron emulates Spielberg's drive to bring any film envisioned into reality. Aaron took on the persona of doing any film that caught his interest relating to Spielberg and recognizing each film as a story's visual interpretation. Walking into a room and seeing all the angles is how he puts a scene together without a script. Aaron also modeled his film career based upon Spielberg's strategic decision-making. One instance is how Aaron used the help of fellow partner Rajesh D. Felix to startup Able 2 Film Entertainment similar to Spielberg uniting with Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall to form Amblin Entertainment. A large influence on Aaron's film development is director Robert Rodriguez. The arduous path that Rodriguez took is illustrated through the book "Rebel without a Crew". This book was a powerful influence over Aaron that revealed similarities that he exhibited in himself. With that in mind, Aaron began to learn every job on a film set, so that when needed, he could do any job necessary to get the project completed. Rodriguez's work had taught Aaron to be versatile in everything that he does. Aaron enjoys using a variation of Tony Scott's camera movement and editing techniques in his films but likes to fuse the variations with his own vision. Tony's Man on Fire (2004) taught Aaron how to use emotion and mindful thinking to tell a story. Aaron was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 15, 1984. His parents, Allison and Michael, noticed that he was skillful as an entertainer, and had a natural ability to engage groups of people with ease. While Aaron was still a child, the family moved from New York to Miami in hopes of connecting their son to the entertainment industry. A series of small roles in high school caused him to temporarily pursue different activities and sports. During his senior year in college, Aaron decided to pursue acting again. While obtaining his Master's degree, Aaron worked full-time as an actor. When struggling to find acting roles, Aaron wrote and directed his very first screenplay. The Debt That All Men Pay (2013) was Aaron's first movie. He stated, "making a film was not as easy when you have to wear almost every hat." Aaron produced, wrote, directed, and acted in this film and claims to "have learned the most" from this first attempt. I Before Thee (2018) was Aaron's first break into the motion picture industry. Aaron says that the knowledge gained from making his first feature film "was transcendent". At first he didn't think he could accomplish such a big feat, because a feature film could take a huge toll on any creator. But after teaming up with producers Rajesh D. Felix and Sarah E. Felix, it didn't seem so difficult. Rajesh took the reigns for all business affairs, legal, negotiations, and regulations. Sarah produced post operations, and monitored and controlled the publicity campaigns. Through other numerous crew members, Aaron successfully leveraged the talent and technical labor into completing the I Before Thee. From acting in lead roles, directing large sets, and writing screenplays, Aaron is releasing his genuine creativity into the hearts of major studios. Aaron holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Business from Florida International University and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Nova Southeastern University.
