At the end of 2019, afaq was struck by an undiagnosed illness that left her disabled, and fighting for her life in Philadelphia. Despite tragedy and chronic illness, afaq continues using performance, poetry, and photography to dismantle systems of oppression. Her goal is to make change alongside communities by creating, performing, and exhibiting globally. She is working to heal herself, and everything around her.

Afdlin Shauki had always been the class clown but it wasn't until after high school that he finally made up his mind to become a comedian. After high school he was accepted to receive the government's scholarship to study abroad, USA, to be exact. This is truly an honor as only less than 1% of high school graduate are rewarded with this scholarship; in fact one could say that one must excel in one academic studies and become the best of the best to be accepted. However, half way into the preparatory program before flying off to US, he realize that he'd rather become a comedian than an engineer.
