Brown joined the series as Calvin, the manager of a high-end grocery store in Los Angeles where the second season takes place. The series debuted on Lifetime in September 2018 and was acquired by Netflix in December 2018. It instantly became one of the streaming giant's most popular additions, gaining over 40 million viewers after its debut. Season two of "You" premiered on December 26, 2019.
